Earlier this summer, BDAR rescued a dog from death row in a local shelter. We had to raise money for him to go to boarding at first because we didn’t have a foster home immediately available. The 4 year old lab/husky/heeler mix – called Puzzle, quickly became a volunteer favorite and charmed people at adoption drives by readily flopping over for belly rubs.
Puzzle was adopted in the late summer by a kind family. But before he went home, he was selected to have his photos taken by a company aiming to launch a line of rescued dog greeting cards through PetCo.
This holiday season, that line of cards is being given away at PetCo stores nation-wide in thanks for a donation to the PetCo Foundation. Luckily for us and him, Puzzle is featured on one of these cards!
