Happy Endings for Seamus (now named Rocky)
It's now been about two and a half months since we adopted Seamus (now
known as Rocky). We are all doing great.
Rocky is interested in everything and afraid of nothing. He gets very
excited about meeting other people and dogs. We're trying to teach him to
be a bit calmer when greeting others, and he is learning. Rocky likes to
go camping, walks, and playing us songs on his squeaky toys. He went for
his first actual swim a couple of weeks ago while we were camping (he's
quite a good swimmer).
Rocky thinks he's a lap dog (all 65 pounds of him) and still has some of
his puppy clumsiness. He cannot get enough attention. We try to relieve
some of his energy every day after work by talking him for long walks and
working on his discipline training. He's learning pretty fast.
Rocky is doing better with our older dog, but still tries to get her to
play, which she tolerates to a certain extent.
Above all, Rocky never fails to make us laugh. He's a big ol' loveable
goof ball.
