Happy Endings for Micah (now named Darby)
I just wanted to update on my doggie, Darby, (aka "Micah"). I cannot
express to you how happy I am with this beautiful dog and I thank God
every day that I found him and I am so thankful that your organization
found me worthy of him.
Darby is a wonderful Black Lab. He is sweet, loving, willing to please
and very eager to learn. I have enjoyed spoiling him the past several
months and am just so thankful that we found each other.
My one concern with his getting along with my kitties continues to be an
issue, but we are making incremental progress. He is not aggressive
towards them at all, just way too "eager" to be their friends and they
find him frightening! My oldest kitty, does spend time upstairs with us
every day and Darby has gotten quite "bored" with him. I wish the other
two kitties were as brave as Bailey, but I am willing to continue to work
with both Darby and the kitties.
Darby and I have signed up for his third obedience course. He has made
great gains but he has a long ways to go (mostly, I have a long ways to
go!!!). He is a wonderful student and really likes going to school.
I see that you are now adopting and fostering cats. That is so wonderful. One day I would love to help you with fostering or in any way that your
organization may need. Please let me know what your greatest area(s) of
need is, and I would love to try to help you. Again, thank you for what
you are doing for animals in this area of Wyoming. It is priceless!
