Happy Endings for Margot (now named Marlo)
Hi BDAR, I just wanted to send you an update on Margot (whom we have
re-named to Marlo). It's been about three months since we went to "just
look" at the dogs at adoption day at PetCo. Needless to say, we fell in
love with Marlo that day and we continue to do so.
Marlo has adjusted very well to our lifestyle. She wants to be around us
all the time, and she is especially fond of cuddling, especially when she
gets to get up on the bed! When we first adopted Marlo, we would get her on
the leash and she would just pull as hard as she could the entire time.
"Dad" worked very diligently with her and she now walks very well on a leash
and hardly ever pulls. She is also improving on running to us when we call
her. She loves learning new tricks for treats.
Some of Marlo's favorite activities are hiking with her new dog pack,
sniffing absolutely every plant and hole she can find, "helping" Mom in the
kitchen by taking care of any dropped food, bacon-flavored treats, catching
snowballs, and of course, just playing with us. Marlo is a very loving dog
and everyone she has ever come into contact with comments on how nice she
is. We are very proud of her! She even endures the curious toddler's
prodding and petting given by our
nieces and nephews. Since we adopted
Marlo, she has traveled with us many times to visit our immediate families.
She is very good in the car and loves to look at everything and sniff out
the windows when we roll them down. She especially loves her freedom when
we visit our parents in the country.
Marlo continues to bring us joy every day and we can't imagine life without
her. Thank you for taking care of her and all of the animals who have come
and will continue to come through your shelter.
