Help Us Get to Best Friends!!

Every year, Best Friends Animal Society, the world’s largest and most successful rescue and sanctuary, holds a week-long seminar for others seeking to learn from them. This seminar, entitled “How to start a Sanctuary,” provides resources, training, and guidance in the form of hands-on training and workshops throughout the week. The course takes place at Best Friends, in Kanab, Utah. The nearest airport is in Las Vegas, a four hour drive away. The cost for the seminar, which is tax-deductible, is $650.00 per person and includes daily meals.

Black Dog Animal Rescue would like to send 2-4 of our members to Kanab for this seminar sometime in 2009. We are seeking donations/sponsors for this trip. Payment for the conference can be made directly to Best Friends Animal Society for a tax-deduction. Black Dog’s members need coverage for transportation, a rental vehicle, and hotel stay.

Conference dates are:
August 16-22, 2009 or November 1-7, 2009

If you would like to see Black Dog’s mission and our ability to save more animals in this community and surrounding areas grow, please consider donating for this trip. The animals and we thank you.

To donate, please contact Britney Wallesch,
